It was a momentous morning for CHARS Youth U9 Blues, who clinched the MHRML Green Division Cup in stunning fashion, defeating a spirited Risden Wood side in a thrilling final held at Panshanger FC.

From the first whistle, the boys in blue showed determination, flair and unity beyond their years. With crisp passing, resolute defending, and some clinical finishing, the CHARS Youth U9 Blues put on a performance to remember, rounding off a superb season in the most fitting way — with silverware!

But today was about more than just football.

⚫ Honouring Coach Donny's Father

Before the game began, players, coaches, and supporters observed a heartfelt minute's silence in memory of Coach Donny’s late father, who sadly passed away recently. Every player wore black armbands in tribute — a touching sign of the strong family bond that runs throughout this special group.

“We wanted to play for Donny today,” said Coach Charlie Johns after the final whistle. “He’s been there for the boys all season, through good days and tough ones. This win was for him, and for his dad. We’re proud of every single player who wore the badge with pride today.”

This triumph is a result of hard work, commitment and outstanding coaching week in, week out. A huge thank you goes to coaches Charlie, Cesc, Donny and Joe, whose leadership and passion have been instrumental in the team’s progress this season.
