Supporting Our Champions at the 2024 TCS London Marathon

Socials: @joewestmacott @ndcs_uk @whizzkidzuk

It's time to rally behind our CHARS Youth FC heroes as they lace up their running shoes and prepare to tackle the 2024 TCS London Marathon. This Sunday, April 21st, our very own Joe Westmacott and Jack Meggison (dad of Zach in our u9 Yellows) will be hitting the pavement, each running for a cause close to their hearts.

Joe Westmacott: A Marathon for a Cause

Joe Westmacott is no stranger to the challenges of marathon running. Having previously conquered this epic race, Joe is back for more, this time running to support the National Deaf Children's Society. For Joe, this charity holds profound significance, as it's dedicated to supporting deaf children like his God Daughter, Ruby.

Ruby's journey, marked by resilience and determination, has been a beacon of inspiration for Joe. Now, he's ready to push himself to the limit, running with all his might to raise crucial funds for a cause that aids children like Ruby in realising their full potential.

Let's get behind Joe as he embarks on this gruelling yet rewarding journey. Every step he takes brings us closer to making a difference in the lives of deaf children.

Jack Meggison: A Run for Whizz-Kidz

Jack Meggison's decision to run the 2024 TCS London Marathon for Whizz-Kidz is a testament to his commitment to making a difference. Recognising the physical and mental challenges that come with marathon running, Jack is determined to contribute to a cause that uplifts the lives of young wheelchair users.

Months of rigorous training and dedication have prepared Jack for this monumental task. His journey is not just about personal achievement; it's about sending a powerful message of hope and inclusion. With every stride, Jack aims to inspire support for Whizz-Kidz's mission and raise awareness of the importance of accessibility and mobility for all children.

Let's show our unwavering support for Jack as he takes on this incredible challenge. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of wheelchair users across the UK.

Together, We Make a Difference

As members of the CHARS Youth FC family, let's come together to support Joe and Jack as they embark on this incredible journey. Whether it's cheering them on from the sidelines or making a donation to their causes, every act of support counts.

Let's show the world the power of community and compassion as we stand behind our champions at the 2024 TCS London Marathon. Go, Joe and Jack! We're with you every step of the way.

Best wishes,

Steve Halls
